The Infectious Diseases Institute (IDI), College of Health Sciences (CHS), Makerere University invites you to this week's Virtual Research Forum.

Uganda's antimicrobial resistance (AMR) data has long been fragmented across facilities, programmes, and systems, making it difficult to act on at scale.

This Thursday, IDI's Virtual Research Forum tackles that head-on.

Muwonge Khalifan, Full Stack Software and Data Engineer, presents AMRDB: a FAIR-compliant AMR data lakehouse designed to make Uganda's resistance data Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable.

Muwonge is no stranger to building technology for health impact. His portfolio includes the SMART epilepsy app, a Luganda-enabled chatbot (HEAL) for health workers, and now this AMR data infrastructure developed through IDI's work with CAMO-Net and the African Centre of Excellence for Bioinformatics and Data Intensive Science.
