Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools are increasingly becoming important in universities by enhancing the efficiency, quality, and impact of research processes. AI supports researchers in literature reviews, data analysis, manuscript development, plagiarism detection, grant identification, and administrative automation, thereby reducing workload and improving productivity. Universities can also leverage AI to strengthen research management, research integrity, innovation, and evidence-based decision-making while promoting faster knowledge generation and collaboration in an increasingly digital research environment.

Therefore, the Directorate of Research Innovation and Partnerships (DRIP), Makerere University, invites academic staff, researchers, graduate coordinators, members of Research Ethics Committees (RECs), and PhD students to an online webinar on the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in research management.

The webinar will explore emerging AI applications that are transforming research administration, graduate training, research integrity, and scholarly productivity within higher education institutions.
