PyData Kampala-a community of developers and users of open source data, science and engineering tools in Kampala invites you to its November Meetup to be hosted by the Makerere University Innovation Pod (Mak UniPod).

The speaker, Kirabo Atuhurira, a software engineer specializing in machine learning, works with Femicide Count Kenya and has contributed to the Email Alerts and Data Highlighter projects in collaboration with researchers from Data Against Feminicide and DISCO Lab. She also developed the BSGenomeForge package while working at Bioconductor and has shared her open-source experience through talks at Bioc2023 and PyCon Uganda 2023.

Kirabo will demonstrate practical approaches for building transparent, automated, and reproducible workflows for data analysis and reporting using Python and Quarto.
