Event Details

The Mainstreaming Gender Equality in Sub-Saharan African Academia (MAGNETISE) project is a European Union funded initiative aimed at supporting Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to introduce and implement institutional policies, structures, and practices that promote gender equality.

MAGNETISE will hold an institutional workshop on 11th June 2026 to introduce the project to the Makerere Community and share findings about the gender audit and survey recently carried out to assess the status of gender mainstreaming in Makerere.

The session will provide an opportunity for participants as well as consortium members to reflect on gender mainstreaming and institutional transformation within Higher Education Institutions, and to share experiences on where and how gender dynamics are experienced across different aspects of academia.
