Consortium for Advanced Research and Training in Africa (CARTA) invites you to the second webinar in the series on “Exploring AI in Enhancing Research Quality”

CARTA sees the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in academia and research. We aim to start this discussion by seeking ways to leverage AI to boost efficiency, effectiveness, and impact, expanding our reach within Africa's Research and Development (R&D) ecosystem. Our main goal is to raise awareness about AI's profound effect on academics, research, and research training, emphasizing its opportunities and challenges.

The webinar series aims to achieve the following:

  1. Create an understanding of AI capabilities in improving training processes to enhance learning.
  2. Explore the potential integration of AI in the research cycle.
  3. Understand the capabilities of utilizing AI to enhance the translation of research findings into practical solutions from the lowest level of interventions to the policy level.
  4. Examine challenges and ethical issues presented by AI in this context.

In this second webinar, we shall delve into the uses of AI in literature review and data analysis.

Date and Time: July 17, 2024 from 16:00 – 17:30 HRS East Africa Time
