Nkrumah Hall, as part of celebrations to mark 70 years of its existence is organising a public lecture in honour of the great Pan-Africanist it is named after, Kwame Nkrumah.
Theme of the Public Lecture: Kwame Nkrumah's Vision, Our Reality: Integration and Pan-Africanism in the 21st Century
Date and Time: Friday, 20th September, 2024 at 2:00PM EAT.
Chief Guest: Rt. Hon. Dr. Ruhakana Rugunda, Special Envoy tof Special Duties, Office of the President.
Objective: To cause students, alumni and the general population to reflect on Kwame Nkrumah's contributions to Pan-Africanism and integration, and explore how his vision and that of his compatriots can inform and inspire current efforts towards a more united and prosperous Africa.
Expected outcomes:
- A deeper understanding of Nkrumah's vision and legacy
- Identification of practical solutions to contemporary challenges
- Strengthened networks and collaborations
- Recommendations for policymakers and stakeholders
- A renewed commitment to African unity and prosperity
