Makerere University through the Department of Science, Technical and Vocational Education (DSTVE) is organizing the First Biannual National Science Workshop with the aim of acquainting science teachers (Physics, Biology, Mathematics and Chemistry), learners/lovers of science in both primary and secondary schools, universities and other institutions and scientists in applied sciences and in industries with knowledge to bridge the gap between classroom practices and entrepreneurship skills through projects.
Dates and Time:
Friday 12th - Saturday 13th May, 2023 from 8:00AM to 5:00PM EAT both days (Teachers & Scientists).
Friday 19th - Saturday 20th May, 2023 from 8:00AM to 5:00PM EAT both days (Students at all levels).
Intended outcomes:
- Promoting competence skill-based instruction through projects and problem solving instruction,
- Refining strategies to improve the performance in sciences and related product outputs for industrialization, and
- To develop/rejuvenate interest, analytic critical thinking and vocational/career paths of science practitioners through research and projects in creativity and innovations.
Each participant will pay a workshop fee of UGX 65,000 only to merchant code 6233362. Students will pay UGX 50,000 only.
