The Makerere University Retirement Benefits Scheme (MURBS) is pleased to invite all its members and stakeholders to the MURBS Annual Member Pre-Retirement Training: Session Two of the Financial Year 2020/2021. This training will take place on Thursday, 15th April, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Central Teaching Facility 2 (CTF-2), Makerere University.

Topic: Investing in Unit Trusts and Guaranteed Funds

Members who wish to attend the training physically will be required to adhere to the Scheme's Covid-19 SOP's which include: -

  1. Being subjected to a temperature test at the venue entrance;
  2. Hand sanitisation;
  3. Wearing a mask throughout the training session; and,
  4. Maintaining at least a four-meter distance with other attendees.

The training targets all members of MURBS and is open to all key Stakeholders of the University. The topic for this second session of our Annual Pre-Retirement Training Programme has been carefully selected to suit the needs of MURBS members across all staff age profiles. MURBS members will be exposed to the dynamics of Investing in Unit Trusts and Guaranteed Funds as part of retirement planning.
