THEME: A HOLISTIC APPROACH TOWARDS ADDRESSING THE EPIDIMIOLOGICAL TRANSITION OF DISEASES IN LOW AND MIDDLE INCOME COUNTRIES.

OBJECTIVES

• To understand the multi-sectorial approach in addressing the challenges posed by the epidemiological transition.

• To share knowledge and experiences in addressing different health challenges posed by the transition in Low and Middle Income Countries.

• To gain a greater understanding of the drivers of this epidemiological transition in Low and Middle Income Countries.

• To provide a platform for students to present their academic research work and other innovative ideas to their peers and other health professionals

TARGET POPULATION

The targeted participants are all health care stakeholders that include researchers, politicians, lecturers, health professionals and both undergraduate and postgraduate students. Invited were not only those within this same college but also in the different medical and health science schools within Uganda, Africa and the entire world.

General guideline

 The Abstract should contain no more than 400 words, illustrate original research or experience from the field on the subjects.

Abstract specifications

  • It should be written in English, the Title in  UPPERCASE and contain no abbreviations
  • In the body, standard abbreviations need not to be defined. Other abbreviations and acronyms should be defined.
  • Do not include graphics, photograph or tables.
  • Submission may have up to six authors
  • The submitting author’s name should appear first. All correspondence will be sent to the submitting author.
