Symposium on Health Financing for Universal Health Coverage in Low and Middle Income Countries

Theme:
Financing for Universal Health Coverage More money for health AND more health for the money

SUB-THEMES:
• Ensuring financial risk protection using public funds
• Risk sharing and pooling of funds through insurance
• Leveraging health benefits from investment in other sectors
• Strategic purchasing and results based financing
• Global health initiatives and innovative financing approaches

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION:
Both individual and session abstracts are invited.
Session abstract: These include 3-4 presenters around a similar theme. UHC art competition: Interested contenders can submit an artistic interpretation of Universal Health Coverage. Photos, cartoons and drawings can be submitted in both hard and soft copy. These should be related to the theme of the symposium. Each artistic submission should bear a relevant caption.

Bank, Institute of Tropical Medicine (Antwerp, Belgium), Human Sciences Research Council (South Africa), WHO, University of Cape Town, Makerere University School of
Public Health, among others
