Makerere University One Health Institute - Cohort 2019 Didactic Course

Makerere University One Health Institute is due to run over the Semester I Christmas recess (December 2018 to January 2019). This is inter-disciplinary training using a “One Health” approach targeting both students and faculty of programs that contribute to improved health outcomes

The Institute will carry out an 8-day didactic course to create awareness on One Health concepts, Leadership in Infectious Disease Management, Gender Associate Risk, Antimicrobial Resistance, Bio-risk Management, Health Policy Analysis and Outbreak Investigation and Community Entry & Engagement. 

One the other hand, the graduate students will be given fellowship placements of a duration of 60-days The targeted institutions which have institutionalized and practice the One Health approach include  Government Ministries of Health, Agriculture, Agencies and NGO’s.
