Wayne Okello: An AI-Driven Environmental Monitoring & Early Warning Platform for Low-Resource Settings

His research explores low-cost, low-power technologies for monitoring environmental conditions and supporting early warning for events such as droughts, floods, storms and heat waves.

Joan Nalikka: Cascaded Speech to Speech Translation for Mental Health Support

Her research explores how speech-to-speech translation can help bridge language barriers and improve access to mental health support for Luganda-speaking communities.
