Makerere University School of Public Health (MakSPH) in collaboration with the Ministry of Health (MoH) and the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development (MoFPED) is organising a Public Lecture and High-Level Roundtable on Health Financing in Uganda.
Theme: Investing in Health for Uganda’s Future: Delivering Vision 2040 through Smart and Sustainable Health Financing

Keynote Speaker: Dr. Ramathan Ggoobi, the Permanent Secretary and Secretary to the Treasury on "Investing in Health for Uganda's Future."
This high-stakes national dialogue on the future of health financing in Uganda is expected to convene senior leaders from government, academia, the private sector, and development partners. The event will include;
- A guided tour of the MakSPH new building,
- Opening remarks by the Dean of the Makerere University School of Public Health,
- Opening remarks by the Vice Chancellor of Makerere University,
- Brief remarks from the Deputy Head of Public Service (Service Delivery),
- Public Lecture by Dr. Ramathan Ggoobi,
- Health sector reflections by Dr. Diana Atwiine,
- A high-level roundtable discussion, and
- Closing reflections by Dr. Crispus Kiyonga, Chancellor of Makerere University.
