Makerere University School of Public Health’s Centre for Trauma, Injury and Disability Prevention is today convening a webinar to mark the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims. The one-hour dialogue, running from 12:00–1:00 PM, brings together police, emergency care specialists, researchers and road-user representatives to examine what Uganda must urgently change to build a safer road system.
The discussion will unpack the country’s persistent rise in road traffic deaths and outline practical reforms needed to shift from yearly remembrance to real safety gains. The event is part of C-TRIAD’s wider effort to strengthen evidence, accountability and public engagement on road safety.
