A team of staff members from the School of Statistics and Planning under the College of Business and Management Sciences (CoBAMS) have published and edited a book in recognition of the exceptional contribution of Dr. Jotham Musinguzi to the field of population and development.
The book is titled: “Past, Present and Future Considerations in
Advancing Population and Development in Africa: Essays in Honour of Dr.
Jotham Musinguzi.”
Date and Time: 17th October 2025 starting at 2:00PM
The book launch represents more than a celebration of a one man’s journey. It is a powerful platform to galvanize action, reflection, and partnership on the future of population and development in Africa.
The aim is both to honour Dr. Musinguzi’s legacy and inspire ongoing dialogue about the future of population and development in Africa.
The Population and Social Development Institute (PSDI) in partnership with Makerere University presents to you a book, which is a scholarly volume that documents Dr. Musinguzi’s over three-decade long legacy in championing sexual and reproductive health, demographic transition, gender equality, youth empowerment, and development policy across Uganda, Africa and the global stage.
Dr. Musinguzi’s visionary leadership has been instrumental in advancing the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) Programme of Action, Agenda 2063, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
