The Child Health and Technology Research Program at the Child Health and Development Centre (CHDC), School of Medicine, College of Health Sciences, Makerere University invites you to the Child Health and Technology Symposium.
Theme: Culturally-safe, Technology-enhanced, and Trauma-informed health interventions in War-affected populations in northern Uganda.

Since 2018, Makerere University, in collaboration with the University of British Columbia (Canada) and St. Mary's Hospital, Lacor in Gulu, have been carrying out research on HIV/AIDS, Hepatits B and syphilis titled; "Developing and Testing Interventions to Reduce HIV and Hepatitis B risk, Increase Access to Treatment and Promoting Resilience in War-Affected in Northern Uganda; the Cango Lyec (Healing the Elephant) Study," in the districts of Gulu (Gulu City), Amuru, Omoro and Nwoya.
The goal of the symposium is to disseminate study findings to the relevant stakeholders and to facilitate the translation of research findings into policy.
