The Government of Uganda through the Makerere University Research and Innovations Fund (Mak-RIF) and Science, Technology and Innovation Secretariat- Office of the President (STI-OP) funded a project titled, “Development, Production Scale-up and Commercialization of an Electric Solar Cooker (MakSol Cooker) to reduce the Cooking Carbon Foot-Print in Households”.

The project team led by Dr. Peter Tumutegyereize from the Department of Agricultural and Bio-systems Engineering, School of Food Technology, Nutrition and Bioengineering, College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CAES), Makerere University developed, tested, modified, and piloted the cooker to understand and appreciate its performance.

This is to kindly invite you to a public launch of the MakSol Cooker as a milestone paving a way to the market.
