This is to kindly invite you for a dissemination workshop/ report back for a study entitled, "Manufacturing, Clinical Testing and Commercialization of a Rapid Diagnostic Test for Tuberculosis", led by Dr. Misaki Wayengera.

Date and Time: Friday 26th May 2023, starting 8:45 AM EAT.

The dissemination is organized under the auspices of the Makerere University Research and Innovations Fund (MakRIF).

Project Brief: Tuberculosis is a leading cause of human morbidity and mortality globally. Early detection is key for TB control by instituting effective chemotherapy. Existing point of care rapid diagnostic tests have however, been found wanting. Our group has over the past more than 12 years focused on developing a growth and proliferation bio marker for TB. We received funding from MakRIF and GoU to develop prototypes of antibody (IgM) TBrdts(r) that were independently validated by the TB laboratory at Makerere University. This dissemination activity we shall present the results of that validation.
