The College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHUSS), through the Department of Literature, is organising the Makerere@100 Centennial Poetry Competition Award Event.

Date and Time: Tuesday December 20, 2022 from 2:00 to 5:00PM EAT.

During the event,  the renowned poet and scholar, Prof David Rubadiri who was and still is part of the history and experience of the Department of Literature and Makerere University will be honored.  His family has been invited to grace this occasion.

The event that will showcase live performances, readings, and recitations has deliberately mainstreamed the participation of students from the Department of Literature and those from the wider university to encourage and inspire more creative writers and literary scholars at Makerere University and beyond.
