The World Philosophy Day offers an opportunity both to celebrate the immense contribution made by Philosophy in understanding the world and to further reflect. This year, the celebration of the day coincides with Makerere University’s celebration of 100 years of existence and service for improving individual, national and global lives.
Amidst the ongoing debates on the importance of the Humanities, the debate at this event are purposed to steer conversation among the academia, government, civil society and the general public on how Philosophy can inform progress in various aspects of individual and national aspirations.
