Makerere University College of Health Sciences (MakCHS) cordially invites you to the dissemination workshop for a research study titled,

"Iron Status in Blood Donors in Uganda".

Date and Time: Tuesday, 15th November, 2022 starting 9:00AM EAT

The study was supported by the Government of Uganda through the Makerere University Research and Innovations Fund (Mak-RIF).

Research Team: Dr. Aggrey Dhabangi in collaboration with Ugandan Blood Transfusion Services (UBTS).

The study findings, in part have shown that about 20% of blood donors surveyed had low iron stores. UBTS has taken keen interest, with the view of exploring ways of preventing/or
protecting particular donors at risk of iron deficiency. The results of that study merit consideration for donor health purposes.

The meeting will be both online and on-site. To join meeting virtually on Zoom, use the following credentials;
