The Makerere University School of Public Health (MakSPH) invites you to the 11th Session of the Early Career Researchers’ Capacity Building Series.

This session will feature the dissemination of the MakSPH SEED Grant titled; ‘Indoor air quality and respiratory symptoms among residents of an informal settlement in Kampala, Uganda.'

The Early Career Researchers’ Capacity Building Series is a platform for young researchers to showcase their work and build their capacity in various aspects of research. The MakSPH SEED Grant is a competitive research grant that provides funding for innovative research ideas aimed at addressing public health challenges. 

About the Presenter

Mr. Solomon Wafula is a Public Health Scientist and Epidemiologist. He has experience in the design and implementation of research studies in Environmental Health, Infectious Diseases and social epidemiology. Currently, Wafula works as a Research Associate in the Department of Disease Control and Environmental Health, Makerere University School of Public Health where he teaches courses in Environmental and Public Health and supports dissertation supervision for undergraduate and postgraduate students.

About the Moderator

Bonny is currently the Study Coordinator for Research Task 4 (RT4) Uganda under CEBHA+ Project and also the Coordinator for the BIGRS study. He is also currently the acting Secretary to the RTIRN Board.
